Bargeddie Nursery

Offer your child a confident beginning with Montessori inspired care, carefully delivered from six weeks to five years.

Children playing in the nursery garden

For over 25 years, North Lanarkshire families have depended on Viewpark Montessori Nursery to help their children feel secure and content during their development.

We spend time understanding your child, from the routines that comfort them to the interests that spark their curiosity. During play, they can explore those interests, with familiar adults nearby to help them while they learn to do more for themselves.

Complimentary settling sessions offer both of you a gentle chance to get to know us before their first full day.

If you are seeking a nursery near Bargeddie, visit us nearby to meet the team, look around our playrooms and determine whether Viewpark suits your family.

A children’s nursery by Bargeddie with 3 areas

Each of our three playrooms gives children room to enjoy their current stage, with care and activities adapted to their needs.

We’ll talk with you once they’re ready to move into the following room, allowing each child to take this step at their own pace.

Little Acorns from the age of 6 weeks to 2 years

Little Acorns offers a calm, comfortable space for your baby to enjoy cuddles, floor play and early exploration alongside familiar carers who know them well.

Regular mealtimes create a comforting daily rhythm, helping foster a safe environment, with morning snack at 8.30 am, lunch at 11.30 am and afternoon snack at 3.00 pm.

During these periods, we respond to your baby’s needs, allowing time for play and sleep whenever they require it.

When you pick up your baby, we will discuss how they have had their meals and slept, and tell you about the little moments you have missed, helping you feel part of their day too.

Bright Blossoms 2 to 3 years

At Bright Blossoms, curious toddlers are warmly encouraged to try things independently.

At snack time, getting themselves drinks and finding their named peg provide simple, manageable opportunities to develop independence, with support available whenever needed.

That same patient approach also applies to toilet training. We respond to your child’s cues and partner with you to preserve consistency between home and nursery.

Small accidents are a normal part of learning, and we respond without making an issue of them.

Our supportive service recognises that your little one discovers something new every day, and we will support their progress at a pace that seems right for them.

Songs, stories and daily conversations help children to explore and practise new vocabulary. If you have worries about your child’s speech, our facility will work closely with you to offer the most appropriate support.

When emotions feel overwhelming, we help children recognise them and process them.

Mighty Oaks for children aged 3 – 5 years old

At Mighty Oaks, we support your child in developing the confidence needed to progress into school and progressively formal education.

Everyday successes, such as putting away a coat or asking an adult, help them practise managing tasks independently.

Participating together helps children as they develop listening skills, practise taking turns and resolve problems with their friends.

Stories, counting and early writing are thoughtfully incorporated into engaging activities, enabling children to build these skills through play.

Deep friendships formed here often carry on into P1, providing familiarity at that key next step.

Running under the trees

A child-led early years centre adjacent to Bargeddie

Viewpark’s Montessori inspired philosophy values the understanding children gain through their own exploration.

We combine this with modern early years practice, allowing space for outdoor discovery, imaginative play and the ideas children contribute to nursery.

Strengthening self-reliance in the early years

Children are helped in making choices and taking part in nursery life by clearing away after snacks and looking after their surroundings.

We allow them space to practise, offering support whenever needed, until they discover the confidence and quiet pride that comes from doing something for themselves.

Open-air play throughout all times of the year

Children, including our youngest babies, are outside in all weathers all year round.

Noticing the trees and feeling the grass under their feet provides younger children with new details to discover, while older children can run, climb and dig at will.

As children move freely outside, they can build balance and coordination while building confidence in everything they can do.

Things can become messy! Dress your child in clothes you do not mind becoming muddy, with appropriate outdoor layers for the conditions.

Kindly mark all belongings, while our staff remain available to explain what is suitable to bring for their age before they begin.

Experiential education through interactive play

Paint, water, sand and mud provide children at our nursery near Bargeddie with plenty to investigate

Experiencing varied textures, pouring water and creating painted marks encourages sensory exploration while helping them discover new ways to express themselves.

Your child can test an idea, observe the result and have another go.

Our staff encourages curiosity, allowing children time to explore topics that interest them and develop confidence in what they discover on their own.

Protection and protection for each youngster

Situated near Bargeddie, our nursery runs a secure access system, while children are supervised all day.

The team gets continued safeguarding training, as well as first aid and health and safety training.

We undertake periodic risk assessments and keep up our fire safety equipment, emergency lighting, water safety measures and electrical safety checks.

When a child is involved in an accident, staff provide immediate comfort and provide first aid where necessary.

At collection, we will record and describe every accident, while any head bump or injury needing further attention will lead to an immediate call to you.

No-cost settling sessions from our team

At Viewpark, we advise booking at least three settling sessions prior to your child’s first complete nursery day.

There is no fee for any session, and we will arrange further appointments to suit your family’s needs.

You are free to stay for as long as necessary, but we usually recommend stepping away briefly. This allows our friendly team and your child to begin building their own special relationship.

Comforters and dummies are as well warmly welcomed.
