How funded early learning and childcare works
In Scotland, early learning and childcare is funded by the Scottish Government and arranged by your local council. The entitlement is 1140 hours a year, and you can take it at a council nursery or at a partner setting like ours. Viewpark Montessori Nursery School is listed in North Lanarkshire Council’s directory of funded early learning and childcare providers.
We are a nursery, not the council. The council decides who qualifies and how the hours are allocated – what we can do is tell you plainly how they work here, and help you with the forms.
Do you offer funded places?
Yes. We offer funded childcare places for all eligible children, including funded places for eligible two-year-olds and all 3–5-year-olds.
Our funded sessions are designed to provide high-quality early learning and childcare in a nurturing environment.
If you’re unsure whether your child is eligible, we’d be happy to talk you through the options available.
Give us a ring on 01698 840222 and we’ll go through it with you – it takes five minutes and there’s no obligation.
Do you accept Tax-Free Childcare?
Absolutely! We accept Tax-Free Childcare, helping eligible families reduce the cost of childcare. If you’re already registered with the Tax-Free Childcare scheme, payments can simply be made directly to the nursery through your childcare account.
If you’re new to the scheme or need any guidance our team will be happy to help.
