Bright Blossoms 2-3 years old
At Bright Blossoms, inquisitive toddlers get strong support to try things on their own.
At the snack period, filling their own drinks and finding their named peg provide simple, manageable chances to develop independence, while support remains available whenever needed.
We bring the same calm approach to toilet training. We respond to your child’s cues and collaborate with you to preserve consistency between home and nursery.
Small mishaps are expected during learning, so we never overreact.
Our supportive service recognises that your child learns something new each day, while we guide them thoughtfully at a pace that suits them.
Songs, stories and everyday conversations support children as they explore and practise new vocabulary. If you have worries about your child’s speech, our facility will collaborate closely with you to offer the most suitable support.
When emotions feel overwhelming, we support children to identify, label and work through them.
Mighty Oaks for children aged 3 through 5 years old
At Mighty Oaks, we assist your child in developing the confidence needed to progress into school and increasingly formal education.
Small everyday successes, from hanging a coat up to seeking help from an adult, boost their confidence in managing things on their own.
Joint play teaches children to listen, wait for their turn and solve problems with their friends.
Stories, counting and early writing are thoughtfully integrated into engaging activities, enabling children to build these skills through play.
The close friendships made here often continue into P1, adding a reassuring sense of familiarity to this exciting next step.

A Montessori-based nursery close to Carnbroe
Viewpark’s Montessori inspired approach places priority on the learning children attain on their own.
We integrate this with modern early years practice, making room for outdoor discovery, imaginative play and the ideas children bring to nursery.
Promoting autonomy from an early point
Children are supported to make decisions and participate actively in nursery life by helping to clear away after snacks and looking after their surroundings.
We allow them time to practise, providing support whenever required, so that they can experience the confidence gained through achieving something on their own.
Open-air activities for all season
Children, including our smallest babies, enjoy time outdoors all year round, whatever the conditions.
Watching trees and sensing the grass beneath their feet offers younger children new things to observe and explore, while older children can run, climb and dig.
Being able to move freely outside allows children to develop their balance and coordination, while developing confidence in their own capabilities.
Things may get messy. Put your child in clothes appropriate for mud, with outdoor layers appropriate for the weather.
Please label all belongings, while our personnel continue to be available to give you advice about age-appropriate items ahead of their start date.
Experiential education through creative play
Paint, water, sand and mud give children at our nursery near Carnbroe plenty to investigate
Encountering different textures, pouring water and making painted marks allow children to investigate through their senses while discovering different ways to express themselves.
Your child can test an idea, observe the result and try again.
Our staff fosters curiosity and gives them time to explore their interests, building confidence through discoveries they make themselves.
Protection and welfare for each child
Our nursery near Carnbroe is equipped with a secure access system, while children are supervised during the day.

When a child has an accident, they get prompt comfort and first aid whenever it is needed.
At collection, we will document and clarify every accident, while any head injury or injury needing additional attention will result in an immediate telephone call to you.
Cost-free adjustment meetings offered by our staff
At Viewpark, we advise arranging at least three settling sessions before your child attends their first full day at nursery.
They are all entirely free, and we will organise any further sessions to meet your family’s needs.
You may stay for as long as required, although we usually advise stepping away briefly, as this gives our friendly team and your child the chance to start developing their own special relationship.
Comforters and dummies are also warmly welcomed.

Frequently asked queries about our preschool school close to Carnbroe
What does Montessori mean when attending Viewpark Nursery
Initially founded as a Montessori nursery, we still uphold its principles of independence, curiosity, respect and practical learning. While we are no longer exclusively Montessori, we combine these principles with contemporary early years practice, tailoring our approach to each child’s interests.
Do you have a nursery waiting list?
Availability for children differs across the year. Some rooms may have immediate vacancies, while others may maintain waiting lists. Please contact us early, even if you do not need a place straight away.
Can an alternative person retrieve my youngster?
Yes, as long as you inform us beforehand. If we have met the individual previously, they may collect your child with your authorisation. If they are unknown to us, we will require the password agreed with you before releasing your child to them.
Will my little one need to be toilet trained for the Mighty Oaks group?
Children joining Mighty Oaks should usually be toilet trained. If your child has a medical condition or requires additional support, we will agree the most appropriate approach with you.
During which period is the nursery unavailable?
Our doors close on Good Friday and Easter Monday, the final Monday in May, the September Weekend, and for two weeks across Christmas and New Year, coinciding as closely as possible with North Lanarkshire school holidays. We share any further closures well in advance through our newsletters.
