Coatbridge Nursery

Offer your child a confident beginning through Montessori inspired care, carefully provided from six weeks to five years.

Children playing in the nursery garden

For more than 25 years, North Lanarkshire families have looked to Viewpark Montessori Nursery to help their children feel secure and content as they develop.

We spend time getting to know your child, including the routines that reassure them and the topics that spark their curiosity. Through play, they can pursue these interests while familiar adults remain close, supporting them as they develop greater independence.

Our complimentary settling sessions allow you and your child to become familiar with us prior to their first full day.

A nursery facility in the vicinity of Coatbridge with a trio of rooms

Our three playrooms all give children space to flourish at their present stage, with activities and care adapted to their needs.

We will talk about the suitable time for your child to move to the next room, allowing them to progress at a pace that works for them.

Little Acorns ageing 6 weeks to 2 years

Little Acorns is a peaceful, comfortable room where your baby can share cuddles, enjoy floor play and make early discoveries with well-known people who know them well.

Consistent mealtimes give the day with a comforting rhythm, helping to establish a secure environment with morning snack at 8.30 am, lunch at 11.30 am and afternoon snack at 3.00 pm.

Around these, we attend to your baby’s needs, leaving time for play and sleep whenever needed.

When you collect your baby, we’ll explain their meals and sleep, then tell you about the little moments you missed, helping you take part in their day.

Sitting in the sand tray

Bright Blossoms 2 to 3 years

At Bright Blossoms, inquisitive toddlers receive plenty of encouragement to try things independently.

Pouring drinks for themselves during snack time and locating their named peg offer simple, manageable opportunities to practise independence, with support provided when required.

The same patient approach also applies to toilet training. We respond to your child’s cues and partner with you to preserve consistency between home and nursery.

Minor accidents are a normal part of learning, and we respond without making a fuss about them.

Our supportive service acknowledges that your little one learns something new daily, while we guide them with care at a pace that works for them.

Songs, stories and everyday conversations help children explore unfamiliar words. If you are concerned about your child’s talking, our facility will work with you to offer the best possible support for your child.

When emotions become overwhelming, we help children to recognise, name and process them.

Exploring the snow in the garden

Mighty Oaks designed for ages 3 to 5 yrs

At Mighty Oaks, we help your child in building the confidence needed to progress into school and increasingly formal education.

Everyday achievements, such as putting away their coat or requesting help from an adult, offer valuable practice in handling tasks independently.

Through shared play, children learn to listen, take turns and solve problems with their friends.

Through fun activities, children explore stories, counting and early writing, helping them build such skills through play.

The strong friendships developed here frequently carry into P1, offering reassurance during that important next stage.

Running under the trees

A educational themed kindergarten close to Coatbridge

Viewpark’s Montessori inspired method prioritises the learning children achieve independently.

We combine this with contemporary early years practice, encouraging outdoor discovery, creative play and the ideas children bring to nursery.

Nurturing autonomy from the outset

Children are encouraged to make decisions and take full part in nursery life, including helping to clear away after snacks and caring for their surroundings.

We allow them time to practise, offering help whenever needed, so they can feel the self-confidence of accomplishing something independently.

Outdoor play in each season

Children, including our youngest babies, enjoy being outdoors in every kind of weather throughout the year.

Observing trees and feeling the grass beneath their feet provides younger children fresh details to discover, while older children can run, climb and dig without restriction.

The ability to move freely outdoors allows children to build their balance and coordination, while developing confidence in their own capabilities.

It can get messy! Dress your child in clothes you do not mind seeing covered in mud, along with suitable outdoor layers for the conditions.

Please label all their possessions, and our staff is always prepared to explain what children of their age should bring before they begin.

Hands-on training through interactive play

At our nursery close to Coatbridge, children can explore paint, water, sand and mud in plentiful supply.

Touching different textures, playing with water and creating painted marks encourages sensory discovery and offers fresh ways for them to communicate.

Your child can try out an idea, observe the outcome and try again.

Our team fosters curiosity, giving children time to explore subjects that interest them and build confidence in what they discover independently.

Support and welfare for every single child

Located near Coatbridge, our nursery runs a secure access system, while children are supervised throughout the day.

Our team receives continuing training in safeguarding, together with instruction in first aid and health and safety.

We conduct regular risk assessments and maintain our fire safety equipment, emergency lighting, water safety measures and electrical safety checks.

When a child has an accident, staff offer prompt comfort and administer first aid if necessary.

At collection, we will record and describe every accident, while any head injury or injury needing further attention will be communicated to you by telephone at once.

No-cost orientation appointments from our crew

At Viewpark, we advise booking at least three settling sessions prior to your child’s first full nursery day.

Each session is provided at no cost, and any further appointments will be scheduled to suit your family’s needs.

You are free to remain for as long as you need! However, we generally advise briefly stepping away, giving our welcoming team and your child the chance to start developing their own special relationship.

Comforters and dummies are welcome too.
